Phenom builds purpose-driven offshore center consoles — clean stepped hulls, aggressive styling, and outboard packages that move.

About the Builder

Stepped-Hull Performance, Built for Offshore

Phenom Yachts is a Summerville, South Carolina builder of performance offshore center consoles, founded by marine-industry veteran Tommy Hancock — the boatbuilder behind Sportsman Boats. Built on four pillars of Family, Fishing, Luxury, and Performance, every Phenom pairs a proprietary NexStep® stepped hull with Mercury V10 outboard power for a soft, dry ride and serious offshore speed. The current lineup spans three models: the Phenom 34, 37, and 43 Center Consoles.

The NexStep® hull

Phenom describes the NexStep® hull as a new breed of performance stepped hulls, developed by a trio of engineers and naval architects. A three-strake forward section and a 65-degree average entry at the bow soften the ride and cut down on slamming, while 45-degree chamfer edges on the strakes reduce water adhesion. Step side vents use a shutter design to manage water, and a pocketed transducer keel flat eliminates drag. Every model carries a 23-degree deadrise at the transom for offshore composure.

Outboard power and performance

Each Phenom is built around Mercury V10 outboard power and a Zipwake dynamic trim-control system for a more comfortable, efficient ride. Power scales with the boats: the Phenom 34 runs twin or triple Mercury 400s, the 37 is rated to as much as 1,350 horsepower, and the flagship 43 carries triple or quad 400 V10s for up to 1,800 horsepower. The stepped NexStep® hull turns that power into offshore speed without giving up the soft, dry ride Phenom builds for.

Fishability and luxury

Phenom positions its consoles as family-friendly, hardcore fishing platforms with a luxury finish. Each model is equipped for serious offshore work — pressurized aquarium livewells in the transom, in-deck aft fish boxes, and mid-ship storage — alongside curated interior materials and textures. The 43 adds capacity throughout, with 40-gallon transom livewells, large in-deck fish boxes, and optional bow seating. Across the range, boats are NMMA Certified and rigged with Garmin, Seakeeper, JL Audio, and Lumitec equipment.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is Valhalla Yacht Sales an authorized Phenom dealer?

Yes. We are the authorized dealer for Phenom, which means factory-trained salespeople, direct access to build slots, and warranty work handled in our own service centers rather than subcontracted out.

Which of your locations carry Phenom?

New-boat availability varies by location: our New Jersey and Florida locations sell new boats across the lines we represent, while our North Carolina location sells new Viking Yachts and Valhalla Boatworks and is a Princess Yachts America dealer. Every location handles brokerage across all brands. Call ahead before driving — inventory moves, and what is on the floor this week may not be next.

Can I order a Phenom built to my spec?

Yes. New builds are configure-to-order, which is why you will not see a fixed price on the model pages — layout, power, electronics and finish all move the number. Tell us how you plan to use the boat and a salesperson will spec it with you and confirm the current build slot.

Do you sell pre-owned Phenom boats?

Yes. Our brokerage covers all brands, including pre-owned Phenom hulls, and we list only clean, well-maintained vessels. If nothing suitable is showing today, tell a salesperson what you are after and they will flag it when it comes through.

Can you arrange financing on a Phenom?

Yes. We work with marine-specialty lenders rather than acting as a captive financer, so you can bring your own bank if you prefer. On vessels above roughly $150k those lenders typically offer 15- to 20-year terms that a generalist bank will not match.
