Privacy Policy

Last updated August 11, 2026

The short version: we collect what you send us through a form so a salesperson can answer you, plus ordinary web analytics. We don't sell it. Email sales@valhallaboatsales.com to see it, change it or have it deleted.

Who we are

Valhalla Yacht Sales ("we", "us") is a boat dealership and yacht brokerage with sales and service locations in New Jersey, Florida and North Carolina. This policy covers www.valhallayachtsales.com and the forms on it. It does not cover the separate sites of the manufacturers we represent, or third-party listing portals where our inventory also appears.

Information you give us

We collect information only when you choose to send it — there is no account to create and no purchase to complete on this site. The forms that collect personal information are the contact form, the "request more info" and quote requests on listing and model pages, the financing pre-qualification form, the sell-your-boat form, and service scheduling.

Depending on the form, that means:

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • The listing, model or brand you asked about, and any message you write.
  • For sell-your-boat enquiries: details about your vessel (make, model, year, length, engines, location, condition).
  • For financing enquiries: the amount and term you want to estimate, and how to reach you. We do not collect Social Security numbers, bank details or credit information on this site — that happens later, directly with the lender, on the lender's own system.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site or search that referred you.

We use two third-party tools for this:

  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic measurement: which pages get visited, from where, on what device. Google sets its own cookies to do this. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and opt out for all sites via tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • HubSpot — our customer relationship system. Its tracking script links a visitor to their enquiry once a form is submitted, so the broker who replies can see which boats you looked at. See legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.

Neither tool runs on the staff dealer portal, and we do not load either one before a page is served — they are ordinary browser scripts you can block with any standard content blocker.

How we use it

To answer your enquiry, and to have a salesperson follow up about the boat, brand or service you asked about. To send occasional email about inventory, price changes, events and boat shows, where you have asked for it — every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect an enquiry already in progress. To understand which parts of the site are useful so we can improve them.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

Only where it is needed to do what you asked:

  • The manufacturer, when you ask about a new boat they build and the enquiry has to be registered with them.
  • A marine lender or insurance broker, when you ask us to arrange financing or coverage — and only with your say-so.
  • Service providers who run parts of our operation on our behalf (our CRM, email delivery, website hosting and analytics), under contract and only for that purpose.
  • Where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our CRM for as long as we have an active or reasonably foreseeable relationship, and afterwards for the period our transaction and tax records require. Analytics data is retained on the schedule set in Google Analytics. You can ask us to delete your record at any time — see below.

Your choices

Whatever state you are in, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Write to sales@valhallaboatsales.com and we will action it. We will not treat you differently for asking.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you those rights formally, plus the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do neither. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you equivalent rights, including data portability and the right to object to processing; our lawful basis is your consent for marketing and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.

Most browsers let you refuse cookies or clear the ones already set. Blocking analytics cookies will not stop you using any part of this site.

Children

This site is aimed at boat buyers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will remove it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and enquiries are stored in access-controlled systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive financial or identity documents through a website form — your broker will give you a secure route when the time comes.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above it. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page.
