Viking Yachts
A higher standard of luxury sport fishing.
Family-owned since 1964, Viking Yachts builds the world’s most uncompromising sport-fishing convertibles, motor yachts, and open-bridge sportfish boats — every hull constructed in-house in New Jersey.
About the Builder
Building a Better Boat Every Day Since 1964
Founded in 1964 by brothers Bill and Bob Healey, Viking Yachts has been operated by a single family for more than six decades. From its plants in New Gretna and Mullica, New Jersey, Viking designs and manufactures most of every yacht in-house, delivering semi-custom sport fishing convertibles, open-bridge boats, and motor yachts from 46 to 90 feet. With more than 5,500 boats delivered, the company is driven by founder Bill Healey’s enduring mantra: build a better boat every day.
Designed and built in-house
One of Viking’s defining strengths is vertical integration. As the company puts it, “except for components such as engines, transmissions, air conditioning units and electronics, virtually everything else is produced in-house by our talented workforce.” Most of every Viking yacht is designed and manufactured at its New Jersey plants, which Viking says gives the company a quality-control advantage. Two 5-axis CNC milling machines handle in-house tooling and mold fabrication, letting designers combine proven hull forms with custom cockpit, mezzanine, command deck, windshield, and foredeck assemblies.
A family business, generation after generation
Viking began in 1964 when Bill Healey and his brother Bob purchased Peterson-Viking Builders, a small New Jersey manufacturer of 37-foot wooden sportfishing boats. More than sixty years later the company remains family-owned and operated, now led by second-generation president and CEO Patrick Healey, with the third generation of Healeys working full-time in the business. That continuity carries forward founder Bill Healey’s philosophy of building a better boat every day.
The convertible lineup, and turnkey delivery
Viking’s New Gretna and Mullica plants have the capacity to build more than 30 models up to 90 feet, anchored by the sport fishing convertible range — from the 46 and 50 Billfish through the 54, 58, 64, and 68 Convertibles to the 74, 82, and 90 Convertible flagships. Offerings extend to open-bridge boats, sport coupes, and enclosed and sky bridge configurations. Through subsidiaries including Palm Beach Towers and Atlantic Marine Electronics, Viking offers one-stop rigging so owners can take delivery of a new Viking turnkey ready.

FAQ
Common questions.
Is Valhalla Yacht Sales an authorized Viking Yachts dealer?
Yes. We are the authorized dealer for Viking Yachts, which means factory-trained salespeople, direct access to build slots, and warranty work handled in our own service centers rather than subcontracted out.
Which of your locations carry Viking Yachts?
New-boat availability varies by location: our New Jersey and Florida locations sell new boats across the lines we represent, while our North Carolina location sells new Viking Yachts and Valhalla Boatworks and is a Princess Yachts America dealer. Every location handles brokerage across all brands. Call ahead before driving — inventory moves, and what is on the floor this week may not be next.
Can I order a Viking Yachts built to my spec?
Yes. New builds are configure-to-order, which is why you will not see a fixed price on the model pages — layout, power, electronics and finish all move the number. Tell us how you plan to use the boat and a salesperson will spec it with you and confirm the current build slot.
Do you sell pre-owned Viking Yachts boats?
Yes. Our brokerage covers all brands, including pre-owned Viking Yachts hulls, and we list only clean, well-maintained vessels. If nothing suitable is showing today, tell a salesperson what you are after and they will flag it when it comes through.
Can you arrange financing on a Viking Yachts?
Yes. We work with marine-specialty lenders rather than acting as a captive financer, so you can bring your own bank if you prefer. On vessels above roughly $150k those lenders typically offer 15- to 20-year terms that a generalist bank will not match.
