Valhalla Yacht Sales

Financing

Get on the water sooner.

Valhalla works with marine-specialty lenders — not your local bank's auto-loan desk. Yacht financing for vessels over $100K typically spans 15 to 20 years with 10 to 20 percent down, structured to reflect how marine assets actually depreciate and how owners use them.

Use the estimator below to sanity-check a payment, then apply. A senior broker will package your file and shop it to four to six lenders within a week.

Marine-specialty lenders

We work with the lenders that underwrite vessels — not auto or RV. Their structures, term lengths and collateral rules are tailored to boats, which means longer amortization and rates that reflect how marine assets hold value.

Long-form structures

Vessels over $250K routinely qualify for 15- to 20-year terms with 10 to 20 percent down. That keeps your monthly payment manageable and avoids a balloon payment to engineer around.

Senior broker support

We package the file once — including a pre-qual letter, vessel docs and an insurance binder — and shop it to four to six marine lenders simultaneously. You sign one application and receive rates within a week.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I have to use your lender?

No. We are not a captive financer. If you have your own bank, private banker, or wealth-management relationship that wants the loan, bring them — we'll coordinate documentation and closing logistics either way. The reason most owners use us is competitive: marine-specialty lenders consistently come back with terms a generalist bank can't match on vessels over six figures.

How is yacht financing different from a boat loan?

Vessels above roughly $150k move into the yacht-financing lane: dedicated marine lenders, 15- to 20-year amortization (vs. 5–7 on a small-boat loan), collateral rules built around USCG documentation and marine insurance, and underwriting that understands seasonal use, charter income, and LLC ownership structures. Smaller boats stay on the conventional consumer-loan track.

Can you finance brokerage and used vessels?

Yes. We finance new and pre-owned. Vessel age and use case (private, charter, commercial) affect APR and the maximum term length — older hulls typically cap out at 15-year terms with a slightly higher rate — but the marine lenders we work with regularly fund 10- to 20-year-old vessels.

What about international buyers?

Possible through specific lenders, but the underwriting is heavier — expect a higher down payment (often 30%+), additional documentation around source of funds, and flag-state considerations. We'll tell you on the first call whether your situation is a fit and which lender to start with.

Does submitting this form affect my credit score?

No. The form on this page is an enquiry, not a credit application — it goes to a broker, not to a credit bureau, and nothing is pulled. A hard credit inquiry only happens later, once you have chosen a lender and formally applied with them, and you will be asked to authorize it explicitly at that point. Most owners talk to us well before they are ready for that step.
